The Plunger pendant design is simple, functional and fun. The various parts of the lamp; the wire, solid oak wood socket and silicone shade come together to define an organic pendant that combine warm and soft materials. The shade easily slides onto the wood cone enabling the lamp to be mounted easily.

The charismatic silicone lampshade makes The Plunger an iconic pendant light with a soft and playful look. The distinct shape and material usage makes for a versatile timeless pendant usable with most interior styles.

The Plunger is the result of our curiosity towards figuring out if it would be possible to utilize the benefits of everyday household products in the context of designed living. The project was focused on fusing the familiarity of everyday household products in order to create an instantly recognizable product with a story to tell.

The decision to design a lamp based on the very familiar plunger, was driven partly by its ideal product architecture in relation to designing a catchy and simple lamp, and partly because it would enable the lamp to generate focus and curiosity through a fun and functional approach.

The plunger lamp stands as a testament to the fact that we are surrounded by creative possibilities, and that even everyday products possess hidden potential and stories worth telling.
