Driven by the community and under our careful and passionate supervision, products are brought to market in 3 stages: DesignIT, where the community collaborates on ideas; BackIT, where 1st Edition viable products are crowd-funded; and BuyIT, where consumers can purchase successive batches of unique products.

Sig Dugal - AKA “Sig”
Managing Director at Origo Partners PLC since its inception, Sig is a veteran in the field of entrepreneurship. In the past 10 years, he has guided many startups through the entire creation process. As a Partner of Ascend Ventures, which became Origo Partners PLC, he co-founded and invested in several Chinese companies, covering mobile and online services, furniture and hospitality sectors. Sig works with TheCreator.ME team members to identify market opportunities and bring value to the company. Design, whether small or grand, that arouses feelings and emotions that are hard to articulate, intrigues Sig most. Outside of the office, Sig sticks with design; as a personal hobby and passion, he works with interior designers to develop properties. Sig is a strong believer in innovation and building on ideas and knows the key to success is “Never give up; never stop believing.”
Christophe Bacon - AKA “Christophe.”
Christophe is TheCreator.ME’s conductor; not only does he inspire team members to be creative, he embraces their ideas, and combines them with his previous experience as international operations director for a multinational online furniture retailer to prioritize and articulate all business operations. Christophe prides himself on getting things done through a process oriented approach. Christophe isn’t new to the entrepreneurial world; he’s spent the past 10 years managing new ventures and startups, bringing ideas from PowerPoint presentations to fully functioning companies. With the little free time he has outside of TheCreator.ME, Christophe loves engaging others and working on new ideas through conversation and debate. Christophe appreciates minimalistic designs with intelligent functionality. Although he loves quoting others, Christophe really lives by “Let’s get it done and make it fun along the way.”
Josh Chaim - AKA “Switchboard”
When it comes to tying in and implementing TheCreator.ME’s business needs with the tech side of the website, Josh takes the lead. He acts as the liaison between the web, design, art, and business divisions, ensuring TheCreator.ME team is all on the same page. After working at a logistics firm in Beijing facilitating global business to business operations, Josh went on to work with a high tech incubator mixing art tech with manufacturing, developing and enhancing the fulfillment process for designs across continents. Josh loves design that embraces an individual’s unique style and can be customized to fit his/her own look. Outside of the office, Josh’s main passion is food, sampling tastes and discovering delicious, unique flavors from around the world. His favorite quote fits in line with his love for exploration: “Know languages, know countries, know people; let your memory be your travel bag.”
Mark de Jong - AKA “Dev Magician”
Web developer since the age of 15 throughout Europe and Asia and having majored in Digital Media Design, Mark is all about you: the user. At TheCreator.ME, Mark focuses his energy on creating an intuitive user interface to bring a seamless user experience, both on the design and functionality of our site. From DesignIT to BackIT to BuyIT, Mark ensures the whole process runs smoothly on TheCreator.ME website. In addition to his fondness of creatively designed gadgets, Mark loves to see the beauty of typography incorporated into physical pieces using unique materials. In his free time Mark sticks with design, utilizing his multi-screen workspace while applying himself to new ideas that improve user experience using CSS and jQuery. Mark’s lives by the quote “Learn from the past, focus on the future.”
Jack Lee - AKA “Lifeguard”
Without Jack, our lives at TheCreator.ME would be much more difficult - he’s known around the office for saving the day. With a Master of Engineering, and having worked with multinational companies, private equity firms, and even government offices, Jack uses his extensive experience in IT coordination and network management to ensure TheCreator.ME’s dedicated server and team member computers are running efficiently. Practical pieces that embody simple and elegant design is what Jack loves most. Outside of the office, Jack loves bowling and watching American soap operas. His favorite quote is “One is never too old to learn.”
Maxime Pourrat - AKA “The Swiss”
Max keeps TheCreator.ME in line when it comes to finances and administration. Specializing in business development, Max focuses on the bottom line while defining our timeline and ensuring we are always organized efficiently. Having worked with other furniture companies prior to TheCreator.ME, combined with his prior experience in hotel development across different continents, Max utilizes his knowledge of project management and business development to ensure our success as a team. Max’s passion is hotel design that embraces the natural environment around the property, helping it blend in while creating a unique feel. In his free time, Max loves outdoor sports and wine (as he has a minor in oenology). Max’s favorite quote is “The best pleasure in life is to do what people say you can’t.”
Evan Saunders - AKA “Mr. Social”
Evan deals will all things social. From marketing, to public relations, to social media, Evan focuses his energy on embracing and reaching out to our community. At TheCreator.ME we know the importance of working with all of our audience: designers, consumers, manufacturers, and everyone in-between. Evan uses his extensive experience in social media, pr, and business development, from small startups to large entities, combined with 5+ years of woodworking study, to deliver engaging content to TheCreator.ME community. Evan’s favorite wood is purpleheart and creative joinery excites him. In his free time, Evan enjoys playing Words With Friends and studying Mandarin. Evan’s favorite quote is “Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.” Evan also blogs at TheCreator.ME/blog.
Stella Shi - AKA “Shrimp”
Stella is all about high quality creations built from your concepts and designs. Of course, she’s not alone in this: Stella works with a wide range of manufacturing and fulfillment partners around-the-world to ensure TheCreator.ME provides consumers with local manufacturing and delivery to eliminate high shipping costs and excess pollution from getting you the piece you ordered. Material sourcing is one of her main priorities to ensure each piece is made with high quality components. Stella also packages your product - and she doesn’t just focus on the box and how the piece fits. Everything else you find, along with your furniture, comes from her. Abstract and wild designs that don’t negate a piece’s usability and function excite Stella. In her free time, Stella loves karaoke, Tai Chi, and escaping the city life for fresh air.
Thomas Winther-Rasmussen - AKA “The Designer’s Designer”
Thomas leads the team with his knowledge in design. From DesignIT to BackIT to BuyIT, Thomas manages each design phase and looks forward to working with you to bring your designs to life through the entire fulfillment process. Thomas utilizes his knowledge of furniture manufacturing and fulfillment to ensure we bring designs to life efficiently without jeopardizing quality. A designer himself, Thomas studied Industrial Design and has designed and created industrial custom made furniture pieces as well as interiors throughout China and Australia. Thomas loves new manufacturing techniques that enable basic ideas to be unique pieces through the creation process. In his free time, Thomas loves to read satirical comics and paint - sometimes even at the same time. His personal favorite quote is “Fill what’s empty, empty what’s full.”
Jixian Wang - AKA “Code Player”
Jixian brings a vast amount of network programming and Linux/Unix experience to TheCreator.ME team. At the age of just 15 after devoting his time to web platform and network security solutions for various clients, Jixian started his first company: an ISP. Since then, it has become one of the top 10 hosting companies in China. After leaving his company in 2010, Jixian joined TheCreator.ME to implement our online commerce platform, system structure, and optimize the site’s hosting and platform integration. Jixian isn’t a newcomer to the art world; he majored in the subject while attending Art Design College in Beijing. Jixian loves designers that allow their ideas to run wild without focusing on external constraints. Outside of TheCreator.ME, Jixian still loves to practice painting and enjoys filling white spaces with beautiful strokes. His favorite quote is “Live free or die” - one of the first English statements he learned and what he feels is a perfect slogan for Unix.
Jeroen de Lau - AKA “Jay”
Jeroen is an experienced team leader and PHP developer. After studying Business Information Systems at University, Jeroen moved to China where he led and actively participated in several teams to create online solutions. He applied his skills in his role as the Operational Director for an international online marketing company, creating and executing online strategies for multinationals. At TheCreator.ME, Jeroen combines his vast knowledge of PHP with his customer acquisition know-how to incorporate user feedback and experience into the design of the website. Jeroen's passion for design extends from his love for modern furniture with Chinese influence - a style he’s watched evolved while living in Beijing during the 21st century. Outside of TheCreator.ME, Jeroen loves staying active by playing squash, swimming, and keeping up with his toddler. Jeroen’s mindset embodies his favorite quote: ‘Work smart, not hard.”
Jonathan Bouaziz - AKA “pacman321”
A student of Computer Science and Chinese, Jonathan brings with him a profound knowledge of website functionality development to TheCreator.ME. Jonathan works tirelessly to add, debug, and improve features and functionality on TheCreator.ME through JavaScript and PHP. Before joining TheCreator.ME, Jonathan spent his time developing software for a copyright protection agency. Jonathan loves modern, one-of-a-kind designs that cannot be replicated and often stands as art. Outside of TheCreator.ME Jonathan sticks with music: he plays classical guitar and loves to dance; poppin’ is his favorite style. Jonathan’s favorite quote in life is “If you want something, don’t be afraid to go after it.”
